Additional information
The history of this area is very closely connected with the agricultural production, and much to the surprise of many guests who visit the area, contrary to its name, the area is very green.
The most notable building of Valleseco is the Church of San Vicente Ferrer which dates back to 1887, and which was built given the deterioration and very little space of the old Hermitage of the same name built in 1740. Valleseco is the northern village with the most variety of traditional Canarian houses.
In the town of Moya you will be able to visit the Church of canary architecture, its street market and the La casa Museo del Poeta Tomas Morales.
It has been affirmed that the water has formed an important part in the culture and development of the village, and because of this culture of hydraulics, four water mills have been counted.
The most important festival of the village is that of its patron San Vicente Ferrer, and because of this the 5th of April is the day the saint is celebrated with a traditional tribute of products from the local agriculture.
Valleseco is a charming and beautiful village to travel to and to discover all the beauty of nature. Here you can enjoy a wonderful rural holiday at the house El Zumacal, in the north of Gran Canaria.
