Paisaje Protegido de Malpaís Grande

Es un paisaje de gran belleza localizado en los municipios de Antigua y Tuineje. Este exponente muestra un malpaís que la mano del hombre ha sabido conservar y respetar.
El campo de lavas del Malpaís Grande es un paisaje representativo de llanuras de coladas que derramaron por el barranco de Pozo Negro.
Merece la pena contemplar el guirre, ave autóctona, y visitar el poblado aborigen de la Atalayita.
El pueblito de moradas primitivas de piedra en la La Atalayita data desde antes de la conquista española hasta la población Majo de la isla quienes se pensaba que eran de origen Bereber. Después de la conquista, pastores locales continuaron usando el lugar, añadiendo corrales para sus animales.
En el centro de interpretación, el visitante puede aprender sobre las excavaciones que se hicieron en el lugar y los restos arqueológicos que fueron encontrados aquí.
