Santa Lucía de Tirajana es un municipio canario situado en el sureste de la isla de Gran Canaria.
Posee dos zonas con características bien diferenciadas:
• La costa (llanos de Sardina), donde actualmente vive casi toda su población,
• La cumbre (caldera de Tirajana), zona de poblamiento más escaso y también más tradicional.
Está constituido por una rocosa formación natural, que históricamente fue importante como fortaleza, desde la cual, los Guanches, resistieron el ataque final de las tropas españolas. También es posible visitar cuevas-cementerio dentro del fortín. El área ha sido escasamente tocada por la mano del hombre, con un paisaje muy hermoso.
Los visitantes que disfruten de los espacios abiertos no deben olvidar de ver la Caldera de Tirajana, un cráter volcánico donde se localizan dos pueblos, Santa Lucía y San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
Una de las fiestas más destacadas es la que se celebra en honor a la Virgen del Rosario. Es una procesión seguida por miles de personas, vestidas con el atuendo típico canario, la calabaza llena de licores o agua y un poco de comida típica canaria como el queso de cabra, carne de cerdo, gofio y sardinillas fritas.
