La playa de la Tejita está situada en el municipio de Granadilla de Abona, está unida a la playa de El Médano por el espacio natural protegido de Montaña Roja. La Tejita es una extensa playa de fina arena rubia de un kilómetro de longitud y aislada del medio urbano. Su ambiente natural y la limpieza de su arena y sus aguas, normalmente muy tranquilas, son características que la convierten en un lugar muy apreciado. Esta playa también cuenta con una pequeña cala en la que está bien vista la práctica del nudismo, pero hemos de advertiros que tiene fama de ser peligroso el baño en ella por tener fuetes corrientes.
Desde esta playa, está playa se puede acceder a la famosa playa del Médano, que esta al norte, por un sendero de tierra, que ofrece espectaculares vistas del océano.
